It started right next door
After Chilly Jilly'z Bakery & Cafe opened in September 2013, Jill and Steve took over the old ladybug nursery just to the east. They saw something in that little space, and set out to turn it into somewhere people would want to gather.
The wedding that started it all
Jill and Steve transformed the space into the perfect little wedding venue, and it wasn't long before they tied the knot there themselves. The Patio was, quite literally, built on love.
Opening our doors
Shortly after the wedding, we opened the space to the public for brunch and private events. What began as a venue for one special day became a gathering spot for the whole of Boulder City, a place worth putting your phone down and staying a while.
Honoring Steve
Steve passed away in 2024. There was no more fitting place to hold his celebration of life than the one he had poured his heart into. His spirit is still here, in every table, every fire pit, and every guest who lingers a little longer than they meant to.
A place for people and their dogs
Today The Patio is run with a lot of love by our manager, Summer Coyle, and a team that treats every guest like a regular, including the four-legged ones. Our dog-friendly patio isn't a policy so much as a personality, and the pups even have their own menu now. Bring the whole family.
